Meet Christine & Devon,

Two women who signed up to lose fat, build muscle and feel good but gained so much more than that.

From working out together, to traveling, TFW has opened a new positive chapter in their lives.

These women are one of many examples of how TFW is so much more than just a workout!

Here’s the story of Christine and Devon and how TFW changed their lives…

1.What were some of your struggles before you came to TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

Christine– My struggle was finding the right program for me and making a time commitment to that program.

Devon– Before starting at TFW, I had gained about 25 lbs and I was overall just dissatisfied with my health and appearance. I had no energy to do anything and I ate a terrible diet. I felt self-conscious and embarrassed to wear even slightly tight fitted clothing and I almost never put on a bathing suit (it caused me literal anxiety).

2. What made you reach out to TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

Christine– I had a colleague that was going to TFW that posted a flyer about the 8 week transformation. It was January, so I was looking for something new that would help me get in shape. I thought 8 weeks was a good length of time to really commit to something and give it a true chance. That was it – I was hooked!!!

Devon– My final straw was my wedding pictures. I saw myself, 25lbs heavier, immortalized in 5000+ pictures. It was definitely eye opening (you can write off one or two as bad angles, but not 5,000!), and I knew I had to do something. I had seen all the little TFW magnets everywhere and had decided I would check it out. So I called, spoke to Coach Phil, and a few days later came in to check the place out. It looked terrifying and took me a few more days before I decided I would give it a shot.

3. What are some of the significant results you’ve gotten since training at TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

Christine– I am in better shape (not only have I lost weight but have developed muscles I didn’t know I had). I have learned how to balance my nutrition and training so that they work together to help me become fit and strong. Mostly, I have more confidence in myself and know that I am successful in more ways than I thought. Before TFW, it was all about “I need to lose weight” and now it is “I want to be healthy and feel good about myself”.

Devon–  In my year and few months at TFW, I have dropped about 4% body fat, gained muscle, increased my stamina, changed my diet, and countless other small victories. I can do chin ups and push ups now (granted, not many of either, but more than I could before – which was zero!). Most importantly, it’s my mental outlook. I have more of a “I can” attitude now and I am so much more confident in myself and what I am capable of.

 

4. What are the top 3 tips that helped you transform?

Christine– I think the biggest one for me was the support from the coaches and familia. No matter how you do on a challenge they are there to cheer you on and encourage you. The coaches are great about making any modifications needed so that you are able to continue on your fitness path even in the event of an injury. My next tip is consistency – showing up and giving it your best! Finally, nutrition is a huge factor. The nutritional tips that you gain at TFW are an eye opener and make you stop to evaluate what you are eating. Don’t DIET – eat correctly!!!!

Devon– Top three tips:

1. It takes time to get where you want to be! I’ve been training at TFW for over a year now, and I still want to be stronger, slimmer, etc. You didn’t get this way over night, so you can’t expect overnight results.

2. We can go further together. Working out can be daunting on your own, and every time I’ve tried before TFW I’ve failed because I didn’t have a support system. When you get down on yourself, there are coaches and the Familia to bring you back up. You’re going to have days where you feel like you suck and have made no improvement, and those are the days where the Familia makes all the difference.

3. My favorite: IT DOESN’T GET EASIER, YOU JUST GET BETTER!
