Meet Rebecca,

Rebecca, like many of us, knew the right things to do to get her body in shape.

But she never had any accountability holding her to it.

So one week would she would be 110% committed then the following week her fire burnt out.

Rebecca wanted to better herself through physical fitness and clean eating but lacked structure and a plan.

She was looking for something different to help motivate her while holding her accountable.

This is when Rebecca found Training For Warriors.

Here’s her story on how TFW brought out the Warrior Within her….


What were some of your struggles before you came to TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

-Before I started TFW I desired to be fit but I never really stuck with any workout consistently.  I ate healthy most of the time but still was pretty inconsistent.  Basically, I lived my life with no accountability.  I went to the gym, I did yoga, walked and swam, but to be honest  I could go weeks without really doing anything.   I was not managing stress well.  I turned to “Cape Cods” and happy hour.

What made you reach out to TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

-What finally made me reach out to TFW was my stress level at work. I had an amazing job of 16 years, that I loved but was faced with the fact that our school was most likely going to shut down. I needed to so something quickly to lower my stress level and get out of my own head. I knew I needed to go outside of my comfort zone.  Then, two of my friends started going to TFW.  I was nervous but I just had to check it out for myself.  So, I went to free Yoga class.  I think just walking in the door was most of the struggle.  I didn’t know what to expect.  I immediately felt at ease when I met coach Phil and I got started with the 8 week transformation class right away.  Little did I know what a game changer that was going to be for me in so many areas of my life.


What are some of the significant results you’ve gotten since training at TFW Ponte Vedra Beach?

-Since I started training at TFW, I have lost several pounds, inches and gained strength.  But most of all I feel like I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I am proud of myself for setting an example to my collage age daughter, who also attends when she is home.   I feel better about myself knowing that I’m getting stronger physically and mentally everyday. I never knew I could do all the physically activities we do.   I now have accountability because I get to see the same wonderful  people every time I attend. We encourage each other and receive major encouragement from our coaches. I have a sense of purpose and a drive to achieve my goals not only at TFW but in all areas of my life.

I not only survived a major job change but am now moving forward in a completely different career path.  On top of that, I am getting married in a few days.  I know that TFW has helped me navigate through all the uncertainly that I have had in the past 20 months or so.  I’m so thankful for the amazing coaches.

What are the top 3 tips that helped you transform?

-The number one tip that helped me transform is just “showing up” and being present to what is happening right there and then.  Letting go of what happened that day or the stress of tomorrow.  Focusing!

-Another tip, Set goals and don’t compare myself with others.  Just do the best I can do.

-Finally, clean up my stress habits….I can’t remember the last time I went to Happy hour or binged on a bag of chips. Now you will find me most Fridays at TFW Friday Night Lights at 5:30….the best happy hour in town.
